Third grade students are studying the skeletal system in their science class. I wanted to tie in what they were learning in art. We started by creating a skull and pelvis out of clay. Once the clay was fired we glued them down and added the other bones with Q-tips. Some students chose to paint the board the skeleton was glued to, others chose to label the bones. I love how some students made their skeletons in different poses.
